Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "Zac" 2020 - Villa Le Corti
Zac Pure Sangiovese from the Gugliaie vineyard (2.5 ha) and dedicated to Anna Corsini, sister of Prince Tommaso Corsini, represents the winery's new challenge (first vintage produced in 2008). This is a Sangiovese with a distinct Chianti character, assertive and elegant at the same time, just like ZAC (acronym for Zia Anna Corsini), which is the name Anna was affectionately called by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The flavor profile is intensely floral, enhanced by aromas of dried mint and thyme, and rich in fruity elements, including cherry and plum, raspberry and blood orange. The sip is complex and engaging in its balanced dynamic between the power of structure and a juicy vein ignited by spicy and saline notes, with nuances of graphite and leather. Vibrant in velvety tannin, it has a remarkable persistence that closes on radiant balsamic spices.
