Located in the heart of southern Tuscany, Altesino is an estate whose exceptional terroir was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. With its approach of great respect for the vines and surrounding nature, this estate excels in producing great Brunello di Montalcino DOCG wines. As a true trailblazer, the Altesino estate introduced two important innovations within the appellation, with the introduction of the notion of "cru" in 1975 and barrel winemaking in 1979.Aged for a minimum of 2 years in oak barrels, Altesino's careful production of this Brunello di Montalcino 2018 is followed by at least 4 months of bottle aging before release.
