Barolo Silio DOCG is made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes from a single vineyard in La Morra, in the MGA Silio area. The soil is clayey, slightly calcareous and moderately sandy, rich in manganese and magnesium. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel with maceration on the skins for about 20 days and malolactic fermentation in wood. Aging involves 6 months in French oak barriques, followed by 18 months in 25 hl barrels. The wine is deep garnet red in color with purple highlights. The nose offers notes of rosehips, nutmeg, red fruits and a hint of tobacco. The palate is full-bodied, with hints of cinnamon, licorice, dark chocolate and black cherries.
