Primorska (known in English as the Slovenian coast), is a long-standing wine region in western Slovenia that has re-established its republication in recent years. Lhe region's modern reputation is increasingly being earned by "international" varieties. The red grapes of Bordeaux that have proven so successful globally over the past 50 years are especially popular. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and even their former stablemate, Carmenere, are used to produce quality Primorski reds. Primorski reds typically have a good concentration of red fruit, well-integrated tannins and an elegant structure.
