It is one of the best known and most productive appellations in Languedoc. The vineyards of Corbières transfer large quantities of red and rosé wines, along with a growing number of whites. The reds are the forte of the appellation; they are famously rich and herb-scented wines made from Syrah, Mourvèdre, Lledoner Pelut and Carignan.
