Chianti Classico "I Bastioni" - 2021 - Collazzi
"Bastioni" combines the elegance of Sangiovese with the roundness and complexity of Merlot and Malvasia Nera, creating a juicy wine with ripe tannins and character. The vineyards, located a few kilometers from the winery in San Casciano in Chianti Classico, cover 7 hectares of skeletal, well-drained soils, and the grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats and aging lasts 12 months in barriques, giving the wine grace and flavor. "Bastions" is distinguished by a bouquet of red fruit and cherry, and dense, ripe tannins. The first year of production is 2002.
