Chianti Classico Gran Selezione - 2018 - Lornano
Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG is a 100% Sangiovese wine from new vineyards at 300 meters above sea level with mixed soils of stratified sand and limestone. The selected grapes, harvested between September and October, are vinified in stainless steel with maceration for 25-30 days at 26°C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 30 months in new French oak barrels and an additional 6 months in bottle. It presents a light ruby red color, a complex bouquet with notes of spice, tobacco and ripe wild berries. The palate is soft, fresh, with harmonious tannins and a pleasant persistence.
