Barbaresco "Faset" - 2021 - Michele Chiarlo
Cru Faset is one of the most renowned areas of Barbaresco, historically belonging to the Counts Cocito of Neive and now divided among several owners. Located in a steep south-facing basin, with the western side sloping toward the Tanaro River, the vineyard covers about 3 hectares in the Cabanet farmstead. Soils rich in calcium and magnesium give the wines silky tannins and a distinctive elegance. Part of the UNESCO site "Viticultural Landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato," the wine is ruby garnet red in color, with a bouquet of wilted rose petals, red fruits and fine spices. The taste is structured, elegant, with fine tannins and a marked minerality.
