Sylvaner - 2017 - Tauber
Richard currently offers two wines: Sylvaner and Kerner, with the imminent introduction of Riesling. The Sylvaner, from the Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC area, grows at 700 m on shallow, mineral alluvial soils. The vinification involves gentle pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation, and aging for 8 months on the fine lees. It has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections and a fresh, fruity flavor, with a light spiciness. Its acidity is delicate and balanced, while the finish is mineral, full and enveloping.
