Chianti Classico Riserva - 2020 - Vallepicciola
Produced in Castelnuovo Berardenga, this wine is composed of 100% Sangiovese and has a longevity of over 10 years. The grapes, harvested in mid-September, come from the Vallepicciola vineyards, located at 380-440 meters above sea level on calcareous and clayey soils. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in cement tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by a 15-day maceration. Malolactic fermentation takes place in large French oak barrels, followed by aging in barriques for 24 months. After 6 months of bottle aging, the wine appears ruby red, with notes of ripe fruit, flowers and black pepper.
