Chianti Classico Riserva - 2020 - The Torriano Room
Chianti Classico Riserva is composed of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 200-310 meters above sea level, on soils of Alberese limestone, Galestro and red clay, with 5,000 vines per hectare with spurred cordon and a yield of 45 quintals per hectare. The harvest is done by hand in October, followed by destemming, soft pressing, and vinification in steel for three weeks at temperatures of 30°C. The refinement includes at least 18 months in French oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle. The wine has a ruby color, a fruity and spicy bouquet, a full sip, soft tannins and balsamic notes.
