Chateau Villars - 2007 - Fronsac
Château Villars wines they are born from a clay-limestone subsoil that is crucial to their personality. They draw their power from the clay and their finesse from the limestone that plays a fabulous role as a water regulator to feed the vine root. It is the "Grand Vin," raised entirely in French oak barrels; 20 hectares of our vineyard are entirely dedicated to it, the oldest vineyards on the property. Château Villars is first and foremost a nose of great freshness, floral or fruity depending on the vintage, with a hint of spice. The mouth evolves on powerful and ribbed tannins but always very subtle. It always gains in complexity over time and can be kept in the cellar for 10 to 20 years, depending on the vintage.
