Cannubi is considered the most famous and prestigious hill of the Barolo denomination, historically recognized as the oldest cru in Italy since 1752. With ideal conditions of altitude, exposure and soil, it produces Barolo of the highest quality. Michele Chiarlo has owned a vineyard in the heart of Cannubi since 1989, where he has implemented a terracing system to preserve the soil and prevent hydrogeological instability. The wine has a deep garnet red color, complex aroma with notes of red berries, dried rose, licorice and rhubarb. On the palate, it is structured, with silky tannins and a long and fresh aftertaste.
