The Woods - 1998 - Luigi d'Alessandro Estates
Located in Manzano, in the municipality of Cortona (Arezzo), in south-eastern Tuscany, the estate - which currently extends over approximately 30 hectares of vineyards, managed with the Certified Organic method since 2016 - was purchased in 1967 by the d'Alessandro family. Il Bosco is produced exclusively from selected Syrah grapes, currently sourced from the best parts of two hillside vineyards planted in 1995 and 1999. Extremely intense and clear; it offers complex and earthy nuances of Arabica coffee powder, cocoa beans, Tuscan cigar box, fresh mint; with notes of red fruits, flowers and herbs typical of the Mediterranean scrub.
