Chianti Classico - 2019 - Sparviero Farmhouse
The Casale dello Sparviero farm was acquired by the Andrighetti family in the 70s, a Venetian entrepreneur who understood its potential for wine production, the company passed into the hands of his daughter Ada who completely modernized it in the 90s by making new acquisitions and new replantings in the vineyard. Her son Arrigo took over the reins a few years later to lead the company through the 21st century. The sparrowhawk is a symbol of elegance and strength and it was quite easy for the name of the estate to become a tribute to this wonderful bird of prey. Almost pure Sangiovese with only 5% Cannaiolo, it is a fresh, fruity wine, the Andrighetti family tries to give a new flavor to the Tuscan tradition.
