Village Scopeto is a farm that extends over an area of 503 hectares, located in the Sienese municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, at an altitude of between 350 and 420 metres, mainly situated on clay-marly rocks, affected by sandstone elements bound with limestone.
The company's surface area is currently used for vineyards for approximately 70 hectares and for olive groves for 50 hectares.
The buildings and rural constructions occupy 6 hectares, while the remaining 350 hectares are wooded.
The most interesting part of the village, made up of stately homes with elegant gardens and numerous buildings formerly used for artisanal and rural activities, dates back to the Middle Ages, and is rich in architectural and artistic evidence of the various subsequent eras.
All the buildings that make up the central historical nucleus of the Borgo have been completely restored with a careful conservative restoration work reusing period materials conducted by specialists. The group of the most important buildings is intended to house a hotel structure, the Relais, of high quality, inserted into the environmental context without altering its original architectural value and particular atmosphere.
