The Castiglion del Bosco estate grows exclusively Sangiovese, with a range of wines that reflect the two local denominations: three variations of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. However, Castiglion del Bosco is not limited to Sangiovese and local viticultural rigor, but has an international dimension as well. Prima Pietra, the second vineyard, is located in Riparbella, along the Tuscan coast, where 11 hectares (27 acres) of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are grown.
