Brocade - 1996 - Dievole
Dievole is an estate in the Chianti Classico wine region, located north of the Tuscan city of Siena. It specializes in the grape varieties synonymous with Tuscany and Chianti Classico, growing Sangiovese as well as small parcels of Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Trebbiano and Malvasia Bianca. The name Dievole comes from the Italian phrase "dio vuole." The Broccato is composed of a blend of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Merlot and Petit Verdot. The "Broccato" selection comes from the finest grapes (picked in crates) from the Campinuovi and Madonnino vineyards. Intense ruby red with garnet hues. Fruity with fresh hints of raspberry and cherry. Complex and ripe. Excellent structure and acidity that stands out excellent.
