Cave de Tain - l'Hermitage is a leading French cooperative winery located at the foot of the famous Hermitage slope in the Northern Rhône. Cave de Tain is the largest producer of AOC wine in the Northern Rhône. Cave de Tain produces wine under five appellations: Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Saint Péray and Crozes-Hermitage. While there are standard releases under each, Cave de Tain also produces a range of mono-vineyard or single-block releases, as well as a range of IGP Collines Rhodaniennes varietal wines. The cooperative has a central vineyard team to oversee the vineyards, which since 2007 have been GPS mapped to enable precision viticulture on a plot-by-plot basis.
