Rosemount Estate is a wine producer in Australia, producing a wide range of wines from vineyards in the McLaren Vale subregion of South Australia. Wines are made from Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro, as well as several Chardonnay-based white wines. The wine portfolio is a wide range of blends and varietal wines, sourced from multiple regions throughout South Australia. Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache are planted in the Seaview vineyard, where the soil is made of sand and red clay. The same varieties thrive in the deep sandy soils of the Tatachilla vineyard, which is located at one of the highest points in Mclaren Vale, about 166 meters (540 feet) above sea level. The estate was founded in 1971 and until 2014 was the largest family-owned estate in Australia. It is now owned by Treasury Wine Estates.
