Broccato - 1996 - Dievole
Dievole is an estate in the Chianti Classico wine region, located north of the Tuscan city of Siena. It specializes in grape varieties synonymous with Tuscany and Chianti Classico, growing Sangiovese as well as small parcels of Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Trebbiano and Malvasia Bianca. The name Dievole comes from the Italian phrase "god wills." Broccato is composed of the blend of 85 percent Sangiovese and 15 percent Merlot and Petit Verdot. The "Broccato" selection comes from the best grapes (box-picked) from the Campinuovi and Madonnino vineyards. Intense ruby red with garnet hues. Fruity with fresh hints of raspberry and cherry. Complex and ripe. Excellent structure and acidity that stand out excellent.
