Barbera d'Alba "Ansisa" - 2003 - Terre da Vino
The vineyards grow on soils formed relatively recently, about 5 million years ago, where it is still possible to find a variety of marine fossils deposited during the retreat of the Po River waters. These sandy soils, with a low presence of limestone on the surface and predominantly siliceous, are naturally loose and soft, tending to be dry, which allows the fruity characteristics of the wine to be enhanced. It is ruby red in color with purple highlights. The aroma is broad and pronounced, fragrant with fruity hints of cherry, plum and licorice. The mouthfeel is dry, savory, with intense notes of red fruits. The finish is soft and persistent.
