Vendemmia Tardiva - 2004 - Capichera
One of Capichera's great challenges was to first vinify Vermentino in barriques. After fermentation and aging, VT is marketed no earlier than two years after the harvest, allowing it to express a strong, unmistakable and deep character, so much so that it is considered the most representative wine of Capichera's high quality. It is straw yellow in color, slightly golden and clear. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of orange blossom, lemon, herbs, wisteria, lavender flowers, licorice and citrus honey. The palate is dry, but lively and warm, rich and pulpy, with citrus and honeyed tones. The finish is long and caressing, with great retro-taste persistence.
