Monastic history was interrupted in 1792, and the property was purchased by the Corinaldi counts, who built new structures and started a renowned wine production. During World War I, Lispida Castle was the headquarters of King Victor Emmanuel III. In the 1950s, the winery resumed winemaking with new vineyards and traditional methods. In the vineyards, work between the rows is charged with experiences and emotions that contribute to creating wines with a unique flavor. No tilling of the soil is done and no chemical herbicides or fertilizers are used. The grass is mowed and left in place. About 100 nests for birds, insects and bats have been placed on the farm, which promote the growth and ripening of the grapes.
