Biondi-Santi Rosso is a fruity and aromatic wine that anticipates the prestigious Brunello. For the Biondi-Santi winery, Rosso has always represented a special wine, characterized by a well-defined identity: it embodies the winery's distinctive elegant style, with a structure and freshness that ensure its longevity, but it is above all its fruity profile that also makes it ideal for appreciation from a young age. The grapes used for this wine come from the estate's youngest vineyards and those that produce particularly aromatic grapes. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks and the period of aging in wood is shorter than for Brunello. Originally, this wine was known as the "white label" of the famous Biondi-Santi Brunello. It was renamed in 1983, the year the Rosso di Montalcino DOC was established.
