This Côtes du Rhône from Château Mont-Redon is made from Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan grown in a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and the benefit of the Mistral wind, which provides ideal conditions for viticulture. The vineyards are located on two distinct terroirs: a pebble plateau near Roquemaure and limestone soils bordering Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Harvested at perfect ripeness with careful selection, the grapes are destemmed, macerated for 15 days and undergo malolactic fermentation, followed by aging for 8-10 months in underground cellars. The result is a wine with lively hints of black fruit, silky tannins and a spicy finish, ideal with grilled meats, game terrines or aged cheeses.
