Traditional, family-based production with a history of more than 120 years in Lannepax, in the Bas-Armagnac region. In 1998, with no heirs left, the Legrand family sold its maison to Cognac Lhéraud, which has kept its characteristics alive. A perfect blend of tradition and modernity, the aging cellars have remained unchanged over time, as have the approximately 20 hectares of vines. All Gaston Legrand Bas-Armagnacs are distilled only once, and two stills made ad hoc in the early 20th century are used for distillation. Bas Armagnac Baron Gaston Legrand 1991. The resulting spirit is stored in new black oak barrels. Characteristics: Vanilla nose. Discreet and delicate wood, but present. Notes of dried apricot, citrus. Flexible attack, then aromatic explosion: spices, dried fruit, licorice, vanilla.
