Sarmassa is a southeast-facing vineyard on a good sloping hillside with limestone-clay soils typical of the Serravallian period. The abundant presence of stones and clay limits the vegetation of the Nebbiolo vine, favoring optimal ripening of the clusters and making the vines sensitive to climatic variations. The resulting wine has a deep garnet red color, with complex aromas of scrub rose, wild violet, cinnamon, clove, pine resin and tobacco. The palate is full and elegant, with noticeable but soft tannins, promising good evolution over time.
