Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore comes from Neive, Piedmont, in a temperate climate on medium-textured limestone soil at an elevation of 250 meters above sea level. The vines, with an average age of 30 years, are grown using the Guyot training system and produce a yield of 70-75 quintals per hectare. Vinification is traditional, with aging in large and small barrels for 9-12 months, followed by further bottle aging for 4-6 months. The nose has aromas of peach, plum and cherry, while the palate is distinguished by rich minerality and good acidity.
