Altavilla della Corte - 2009 - Firriato
Grillo is a grape variety on the rise in Sicilian enology. Grown on the western shore of Sicily, it is harvested in the last weeks of August. It has a pale straw yellow color, and the nose is reminiscent of the island's aromas of fresh citrus, almonds and melons. Altavilla della Corte is a persistent and mineral wine due to the choice to grow it in the hilly area of the Borgo Guarini Estate characterized by strong winds and considerable temperature excursions.
