Pinot Gris Cuvee Christine - 2005 - Gruss
Hailing from Alsace, in the hamlet of Eguisheim, the vineyards follow organic farming standards, avoiding chemicals, practicing grassing and using only organic fertilizers. Light straw yellow with greenish highlights, it has a pungent and delicate olfactory bouquet, with floral and citrus notes, such as grapefruit. The palate is dry and elegant, confirming the fruity hints and revealing a nice minerality in the refined finish. Made from hand-picked grapes, fermented in steel and vinified traditionally in old oak barrels, it matures on fine lees.
