We are in the province of Siena, in the territory of Chianti Classico, and it is here that we meet the eponymous winery of "Stomennano," currently belonging to Matteo Lupi Grassi, the latter assisted in the cellar by oenologist Lorenzo Landi and in the vineyard by agronomist Attilio Persia, and above all a descendant of an ancient Sienese family whose traces date back to the Middle Ages, for more than two and a half centuries settled right in Stomennano. From the vineyard to the cellar, the attentions are always the same, so each production step is meticulously monitored with the utmost care: fermentation is carried out in temperature-controlled steel, with a long maceration on the skins for red wines, while aging is carried out in French oak barriques or large barrels, except for white wines, which instead complete aging in steel. This is how the labels of the Stomennano winery are born.
