Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "Le Balze" - 2019 - Il Poggiolino
Produced only in exceptional vintages, selecting the best Sangiovese and Colorino grapes, this wine ferments in stainless steel tanks, with longer maceration on the skins than Chianti Classico, which requires at least 12 months of aging. After fermentation, the wine matures in barriques for about 30 months. After bottling, it is aged in bottle for an additional three months before release. The result of this process is a fruity and spicy wine with an enveloping structure and an elegant balance between tannins and acidity, which give it great depth and longevity.
