Barbera d'Asti Superiore "Bansella" - 2017 - Prunotto
The 2017 grape growing year in Nice was characterized by warm weather and low rainfall. After a mild winter, spring experienced rainfall and high temperatures, anticipating vine development. However, frost occurred at the end of April, affecting some vineyards. From May, a period of good weather began, culminating in hot summers, with isolated thunderstorms in August that ensured sufficient water reserves. In September, significant temperature changes favored the quality of the grapes. The harvest, from August 26 to September 6, produced wines of low quantity but excellent quality. The Bansella, from the Nizza terroir, has a deep ruby color and aromas of plum, violet, cocoa and licorice. The palate is full, harmonious and fresh, with good acidity.
