Chianti Classico “Tenuta Sant'Alfonso” - 2018 - Rocca delle Macie
The Rocca delle Macie farm was founded in 1973 when the film producer Zingarelli decided to fulfill his dream by purchasing this estate and transforming it into a real wine production business. Tenuta Sant'Alfonso is one of the company's historic wines and is one of the most prestigious Crus. From the experience acquired in managing the vineyards, it emerged that the richer clay and poorer skeleton soils of this property, combined with the use of specific Sangiovese clones, lead to a development and maturation of the grapes with a greater concentration of polyphenols and aromatic substances. The result is this rich and pulpy Chianti Classico with fruity hints of black cherry and blackberry with spicy notes of licorice and coffee and a harmonious and pleasant taste structure.
