In the early 1970s, various selected clones of Sangiovese were planted in the Poggio Rosso area. Poggio Rosso is the result of a meticulous selection of this grape from specific plots of the vineyard of the same name and today represents the excellence of the San Felice terroir. This wine, of great concentration and elegance, is produced in limited quantities and only in the best years. It has an intense ruby red color and a very pronounced bouquet, with aromas of plum, blackberry and raspberry. It is a wine of extraordinary longevity, with a full and intense flavor, with soft tannins and a well-balanced acidity.
