The Gaudrie family, winemakers in Fronsac for seven generations at Château Villars, perpetuates the traditional know-how of growing vines. The wines of Château Villars owe their personality to the clay and limestone soils. While the clay gives them strength and depth, the limestone does a great job of regulating the water supply available to the vine. This is the flagship wine, aged 100% in French oak barrels. 20 hectares of vineyards, consisting of the oldest vines on the estate, are dedicated to its production.
