Chateau Chalon - 1988 - Jean Macle
Domaine Jean Macle (represented on labels as Domaine Macle) is a highly regarded wine producer based in Chateau-Chalon in the Jura region of western France. Current vineyards cover a total of 12 hectares (30 acres) across Château-Chalon and the wider Cotes de Jura appellation, with eight hectares (20 acres) of Chardonnay in the latter, covering wines under the Côtes du Jura and Crémant du Jura titles. The estate is organically managed (although the first certified organic wines were released in 2019) by the sixth-generation Laurent brothers. The Jean Macle estate offers us a white wine cuvée characterized by aromas of different types of nuts, supported by spicy nuances.
