Chianti Classico Riserva - 2019 - Casenuove Estate
The harvest is manual and takes place, depending on the year, between the second week of September and the first ten days of October. The grapes are vinified in glass-lined cement tanks, with pumping over and pressing throughout the period of permanence in the tank. The racking and pressing of the marc take place using a vertical press. This is followed by a 12-month refinement period in cement tanks and in large 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels. Finally, the wine is further refined in the bottle for 18 months. In the glass, the wine is an intense ruby red in color with garnet hues. The nose reveals aromas of violet and red and black fruit, raspberry and blackberry above all, with final balsamic notes of licorice and pepper. The sip is full and full-bodied, with dense and ripe tannins and good persistence.
