Chateau Maurac - 2002 - Haut Medoc
The soil in this area is mainly clay and limestone, and is mainly planted with Merlot, which is well suited to this type of composition. The winemaker of the winery is Claude Gaudin, who also works with other famous châteaux in the Haut Medoc area. His philosophy and production style are simple: reduce the yield per vine, to obtain a greater aromatic concentration in the grapes. The result will be a quality wine with intense and distinct aromas and taste-olfactory sensations. The winemaking follows traditional methods, the aging takes place in new oak barrels, which add complexity, structure and depth to the final product.
