Barbera d'Asti Superiore "Bansella" - 2017 - Prunotto
The 2017 wine year in Nice was characterized by a warm climate and low rainfall. After a mild winter, spring saw rain and high temperatures, anticipating the development of the vine. However, frosts occurred at the end of April, affecting some vineyards. A period of good weather began in May, culminating in hot summers, with isolated thunderstorms in August that ensured sufficient water reserves. In September, significant temperature changes favored the quality of the grapes. The harvest, from August 26 to September 6, produced wines of low quantity but excellent quality. The Bansella, from the terroir of Nice, has an intense ruby color and aromas of plum, violet, cocoa and licorice. On the palate it is full, harmonious and fresh, with good acidity.
