Barolo "Leon" - 2020 - Cascina Luisin
Cascina Luisin's Barolo di Serralunga Leon comes from vineyards over 40 years old. The initial maceration takes place for eight days in cement tanks, with vigorous punching down to extract the color, followed by 60 days of more delicate punching down for the noble tannins. The wine ages for 36 months in 30 hl Slavonian barrels. It has a ruby red color and a complex bouquet of violets, roses, berries, spices and chocolate, along with notes of hazelnuts, undergrowth, truffle, minerals and smoke with hints of tar. The palate is warm and savory, with pleasant tannins and balanced acidity, offering a harmonious tasting experience.
