Pico - 2003 - Angiolino Maule
Pico is a wine made exclusively from Garganega grapes selected from the highest and most vocated hills of Gambellara. Spontaneous fermentation occurs naturally, while aging takes place in large 15 hl barrels for 12 months. It is bottled without filtration and without the addition of sulfites. In the best years, it is also offered in separate versions of the three crus: Monte di Mezzo, Faldeo and Taibane. Golden yellow in color, this Garganega wine stands out for its complexity and elegance on the nose, offering aromas of ripe fruit, spicy notes and minerals of flint and basalt. In the mouth it is full and vibrant, with a minerality that balances harmoniously between acidity and body, vividly evoking the volcanic hills from which it comes.
