La Demoiselle de Sociando Mallet - 2013 - Jean Gautrau
Château Sociando-Mallet is a wine estate located in northern Médoc (wines are bottled under the appellation Haut-Médoc), and generally regarded as the equal of many classified growths. The property has a reputation for producing full-bodied, classically structured wines with firm tannins and great aging potential from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet is made from the youngest vines on the property and from soils whose soils are most conducive to producing excellent Merlot. This grape variety makes up half of the final blend of this wine. The vines for our Demoiselle cover about twenty hectares and receive the same care and attention as the rest of the vineyard throughout the year. Immediate pleasure, finesse, freshness and digestibility. A feeling of elegance with very light and fine tannins. It is an instant hit.
