Languedoc vineyards usually tend to produce structured and generous red wines. Rosés are softer and fruitier . Languedoc white wines are fruity and ideal with fish and seafood. Red and rosé wines are produced mainly from carignan , grenache noir , cinsault and syrah grapes . For whites, the grape varieties consist mainly of Grenache Blanc , Clairette , Bourboulenc and Picpoul.
