Weine von Château Villars Sie entstehen auf einem Lehm-Kalk-Untergrund, der für ihre Persönlichkeit entscheidend ist. Sie beziehen ihre Kraft aus dem Ton und ihre Feinheit aus dem Kalkstein, der als Wasserregulator eine hervorragende Rolle bei der Ernährung des Rebstocks spielt. Es handelt sich um den "Grand Vin", der vollständig in französischen Eichenfässern ausgebaut wird; 20 Hektar unseres Weinbergs sind ganz ihm gewidmet, die ältesten Weinberge des Anwesens. Château Villars ist vor allem ein Duft von großer Frische, je nach Jahrgang blumig oder fruchtig, mit einem Hauch von Gewürzen. Der Mund entwickelt sich zu kraftvollen und gerippten, aber immer sehr subtilen Tanninen. Er gewinnt mit der Zeit immer an Komplexität und kann je nach Jahrgang 10 bis 20 Jahre im Keller lagern.
