Das Dorf Castelgiocondo dominiert von oben das historische Anwesen Frescobaldi in Montalcino, eine alte Festung, die im Jahr 1100 zur Verteidigung der Straße erbaut wurde, die vom Meer nach Siena führte. Es ist ein historischer Ort und tatsächlich eines der ersten vier Anwesen, auf denen im Jahr 1800 mit der Produktion von Brunello di Montalcino begonnen wurde. Die Weinberge liegen in Höhenlagen zwischen 300 und 400 Metern, die durchlässigen Böden haben eine sonnige und günstige Südwestausrichtung. Im Weinberg ermöglichen uns penible Pflege, hohe Dichten und geringe Erträge die Produktion eines großartigen Brunello mit eleganter Textur und bewundernswerter Langlebigkeit. Bei Castelgiocondo handelt es sich um Brunello di Montalcino, der aus einer sehr strengen Selektion ausschließlich von Sangiovese-Trauben im Weinberg stammt, wobei alle notwendigen Eigenschaften, um diese alte Rebe hervorzuheben, sorgfältig respektiert werden. So entsteht nach langsamer Reifung sowohl im Barrique als auch im großen Fass ein Wein mit großer Struktur, elegant, ausgewogen, mit intensiven Aromen und großer Finesse.
